The People’s Pantry

The People’s Pantry is a community food store run by volunteers for the benefit of their local community. It is a membership scheme aimed at helping people make their money go further by reducing food shopping bills (members can potentially save over £500 each year).

Membership to the People's Pantry is FREE but to become a member an application form needs to be completed with proof of ID and home address required. Upon acceptance members are entitled, at a cost of £5 per visit, to select up to 10 food products. Most members attend the Pantry once a week.

It is a requirement from our suppliers that all members are issued with an insulated carrier bag which must be brought along on each visit to ensure the chilled and frozen food leaves The Pantry in a controlled temperature. Members will also be issued with a fridge thermometer and will be required to give us their fridge and freezer readings on every visit.

When visiting the Pantry we request that members wear a face covering and maintain a safe social distance between themselves and other Pantry users. We would politely request that, where possible, only one household member comes into the Pantry on each visit.

The People's Pantry Application Form can be filled in online at the bottom of this page.
